Single-Level Power Changer

Single-Level Power Changers™

 (3)
This is the perfect machine for those facilities requiring 10-100 lift truck battery changes per day. With two compartments, the Power Changer™ Series lets you make the maximum use of your rack space while operators remove and replace batteries quickly and efficiently.

This medium volume changer is equipped with a 5-HP motor and is capable of loaded travel speeds ranging from 0-150 fpm. The variable-speed electric drive of this changer allows for fast, efficient battery changes that average less than 2 minutes. This changer is also equipped with a powerful vacuum extraction system that allows for battery attachment. The exclusive carriage assures positive leveling regardless of battery load distribution. By eliminating the ...

Multi-Stacking Power Changer PCE-2-32-TS-V

PCE Multi-Stacking Power Changers™

 (2)
The PCE series battery puller utilizes three separate power systems, all working together to create optimum performance. The first system is an AC controlled gear reduction drive system. This system incorporates a computerized SEW Eurodrive™ motor inverter that controls braking, drive speeds, and torque settings.

The raise/lower power system of the PCE uses two additional Eurodrive™ motors (running in parallel) to raise and lower the carriage on the four point rack and pinion upright system. The final power system drives the hydraulic components of the unit such as the carriage conveyors and pivot arm assembly. By using its three power units together, the PCE is able to offer 100% true multi-function control.

This control ...

Multi-Stacking Power Changer PCHE-2-40-DSV

PCHE Multi-Level Power Changers™

 (3)
The PCHE Series Multi-Level Power Changer™ is designed for high-capacity applications requiring 20-250 battery changes per day. The simultaneous travel and lift functions allow for fast, efficient battery changes that average less than two minutes.
A 7.5-HP electric drive motor generates a travel speed of up to 225 fpm on this machine. The electric drive system replaces the hydraulic drive altogether with a new Movitrac AC brake motor controller and a sealed gearbox. This super-smooth, reliable SEW Eurodrive system is the same type utilized on the PCE systems.

By separating the drive system from the lift system a lifting speed of 24 fpm can also be attained. This is one reason why the PCHE multi-level model is among the most ...

Intell-A-Changer

ICE, Intell-A-Changer

The Intell-A-Changer is designed to change batteries in Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Laser Guided Vehicles (LGVs), and forklifts. The Intell-A-Changer makes it possible for AGVs and forklifts to stay on the floor longer.

The MTC Intell-A-Changer is the next-generation, fully automated battery changing system that allows you to execute flawless battery changes every time. This is an all-electric changer, using no hydraulics, that utilizes an Allen-Bradley Con- trolLogix PLC that controls seven SEW-Eurodrive inverters and motors. Encoders inform the PLC about such things as carriage height, arm travel, and arm movements. It utilizes a laser for down-aisle position sensing.

Travelling at a speed of 300 fpm, and with a ...

Power Distribution 5

Power Distribution Panel

 (13)

The Power Distribution Panel from MTC is the smart way to deliver power to chargers in battery racks. Each Power Disbribution Panel (DP) is designed to accommodate 4,6, or 8 chargers, with a single AC input. By eliminating the need to pull wire from the main electrical panel to each charger, the DP reduces the need for large breakers panel systems and all of the circuit breakers those systems require. Choosing an MTC Power Distribution Panel:

A three step process:

Step 1. Multiply the charger amp draw at 480 volts AC by 125% (required by NEC) to determine the minimum capacity requried for breaker sizing.

Step 2. Refer to the table below to determine the MTC Power Distribution Panel appropriate for your charger ...
